Great....

And the people Vs Things part was really really Coooool.

It was a touching Lecture but I think that this person has lost some nerves due to the fact that he has a very little time to live. (I felt so)

we are all on borrowed time. only some of us are conscious of our finite term while others choose to live heedlessly as if there is no returning back.

@khany, ah..your comment reminded of this hadith "Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer" Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H)

and this one is relevant too

"This world is a paradise for the non-believer and a prison for the believer"

@Isk, All the points made in the lecture are fab! I liked them all.

Here are my lecture notes:

-Any thing is possible and we shouldn't lose that spirit
-When you are doing a bad job and no body is pointing it out to you anymore thats when they have given up on you. The opposite behavior shows that they care.
-the brick walls are there for a reason, there are not there to keep us out but to show us how much we want it
-sense of fun and wonder should never go away
-mothers are people who will love you even when you pull their hair =)
-the value of "people" vs "things"
- integrity in life
- tell the truth
- there are three parts to apology
- i m sorry
- it was my fault
- how do i make it right
most people skip the third part and thats where sincerity shows
- no one is pure evil, if you wait a bit they will show you their good side, so you have to be patient
-complaining and whining doesn't solve the problem. you can spend your finite time complaining or by choosing to play the game hard
-if u lead the life the right way the karma will take care of itself, if you live properly the dream will come to you
-Experience is what you get when you don't get what you wanted

Touchy ending...

I would say it is Motivational. The message I get from it is:

It matters a lot how you see life. Everyone has to die but hey LOOK !!! you have a life to live.

also reminds me of the hadith:
“If the Hour (the day of Resurrection) is about to be established and one of you was holding a palm shoot, let him take advantage of even one second before the Hour is established to plant it.”

randy pausch shows a postivism which is not unlike that prescribed by the prophet (peace be upon him).
