Locked Words

"I try to talk to you, but I don't know what to say. I am afraid you don't want me to say anything. So I don't. But inside of me there are words waiting to come out. And tell you how I feel, like how I miss you. And how I love you despite my broken heart. And how I need you in my life. And especially how much I want you. But those words may forever stay in my heart, locked inside. Sometimes I wonder if there are words locked inside you too... but I'll never know."

What stops the person from unlocking the words, expressing his\her feelings and seeking the truth? By keeping the words locked in heart, isn't the person keeping himself\herself in a locked state of mind? Is wondering better than knowing?

the fear of refusal...the fear of rejection ...the fear of getting the unexpected is what stops the person from unlocking his/her words.....

there always is a fear of being misinterpreted.....and sometimes we know the truth and we r afraid of the TRUTH itself....and when u know that the truth is not what u exactly want...then keeping urself in the locked state and locking up ur mind is the best u have got to do.
In this situation...wondering! for sure is better than knowing...coz somehow u already know.....wats gonna happen....and when dat truth happens to u...IT SUX.....IT SIMPLY DOES...

Yupe, that's horrible. But one should build the courage to face and accept the truth. No matter how harsh the reality is, it's not going to be the end of the world.

Sometimes the silence is killing, and not knowing is not better than wondering.

You never know whats going on inside the other person. So seek the truth, face it, move on accordingly :).

yeah true! Courage is what u need....courage is what makes one fearless....courage eliminates the fear of death even....it makes u think dat Death’s beautiful if we see it as a full stop to all the vicious worldly matters and all worries that come dancing with them....

BUT! not everyone is courageous enuff to face the brutalities of truth...even the most courageous ones among us fell apart .....though for a moment but they do....

Well, let’s put it this way…The present is the most important…It’s not good to let the past or the future dominate it and keep in mind that its only u who can make ur present kool by being courageous and vulnerable to every harsh reality of ur life....

so if u think u have guts to face anything.....u should break ur LOCKED state...

this whole thing reminds me of a preverb in punjabi and dat is

"PUCHI GAL CHANGI HONDI HAI"
:)

Courage is not the absence of fear.
Some wisdom is required as well to match the courage.Maybe courage is the ability to rise up after the fall and fight the fear.

it's ok to fall,it's inevitable, but remaining in that state is not ok.

it's ok to fear,it's inevitable too,but it shouldn't define the person you are.

mujhay proverb samaj nahee ayee, please explain :)

I get the proverb. It means kay it's better to ask, right?

Monay said...

the punjabi proverb means....its always better to ask things....

All of us are born with a set of instinctive fears--of falling, of the dark, of lobsters, of falling on lobsters in the dark, or speaking before a Rotary Club, and of the words ...But its not what defines you....its you who define wat fear is...and its u who let fears get into ur head...and again its u who can get the hell out ...and this is what life is...Life is change.....and failure is Optional...we need to choose wisely!!!Fear is always there ..but they shud not make ur prototype.......
Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is..:P :P :P

"What are fears but voices airy?
Whispering harm where harm is not.
And deluding the unwary
Till the fatal bolt is shot!"

has anybody watched the movie 'coach carter'? not the best movie but it makes a relevant point.

i think it is cynical to think that people choose not to express themselves due to a fear of rejection alone. perhaps it is the case for the author quoted above and for many other people.

a person who is sincere may simply
keep to himself because of a fear of getting accepted. because if you are sincere acceptance implies commitment. whether it is a religion that one is interested in, a person or a passion.. if you get accepted you also accept a huge baggage of expectations and responsibilities.

so it may well be fear that limits us. but it is not necessairly fear of failure. like timo cruz says to coach carter, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us...."

Nopes, I haven't seen this movie.Fear is not a bad thing. There should be some rationality behind it though.
Jazak Allah Khayran for your thoughts.

This lecture reminded me of true dreams, visions, deja vus :)

nice share, shukran

while we are taking a nap, for some of us, sometimes the brain is smart enough to recollect our memories, establish link bw the past and present, and anticipate/predict what could happen next..we dream while this is happening and when by coincidence what we dreamt of happens for real---boom! dejavu

NOTE: this is ONLY ONE of my many possible explanations of ONE type of dejavu.
